About Cabaret...

The Winton Club's annual Cabaret show is hosted for five nights, usually the last week in January, at the Winchester Town Hall.  Each year a different Winton Club member(s) is chosen by the Winton President to produce the show and runs everything, including hiring the professional team, recruiting other Winton member volunteers for the dozens of Cabaret committees, and overseeing all fundraising associated with the show. Each year brings a new theme for the show, chosen by the producer.

Planning for Cabaret often takes a year or more, and hundreds of volunteers, both on stage and behind the scenes, bring the theme to life. The Producer hires a creative team that includes a Director, Music Director, Choreographer, and the lighting and sound team, the only paid participants in Cabaret. The volunteer Stage Crew consists of spouses and friends of Winton.

Open auditions are held every December, and everyone who auditions is cast in the show! Many of our cast members return year after year, some for decades, and new cast members are always welcomed and embraced by the Cabaret family.

We work hard, we raise a lot of money for Winchester Hospital, and we have lots of FUN in the process!!

Winton Cabaret, celebrating its 100 show this year, is a unique and highly-valued tradition for The Winton Club, the Winchester Hospital community, and Winchester and its surrounding towns.
