The Winton Club of Winchester, a non-profit women's organization dedicated exclusively to supporting Winchester Hospital in service and fundraising activities, is pleased to announce Cheryl Lauretano as this year’s producer for the annual Winton Club Cabaret, “ROCK THE HOUSE”, which will be performed January 28 – February 1, 2014 at the Winchester Town Hall Maurer Auditorium.

Cheryl has been an active member of the Winton Club for 20 years.  She has served on the Winton Club Board in several capacities along with chairing many cabaret committees.  Cheryl has also been involved as a volunteer buyer at the Winton Club Gift Shop, located on the main campus of Winchester Hospital.  Through the patronage at the gift shop, the support and generosity of the cabaret corporate sponsors, advertisers, patrons and audiences, the Winton Club continues is philanthropic support of Winchester Hospital.  Over the years, the club has donated over 3 million dollars to Winchester Hospital and the Center for Cancer Care.

Cheryl passionately articulates, “Winchester, and particularly Winchester Hospital, has a special place in my heart.  My niece was born pre-maturely at Winchester Hospital, and was cared for in the Special Care Nursery for several weeks before she was strong enough to go home.  All the care that was needed for her was present at Winchester Hospital.  That was a gift to us.  She is a thriving 21-year old now.  My mission is to give back to Winchester Hospital so that it can continue to provide world-class care in our wonderful town.”

Since she was asked to chair the 2014 Cabaret production last February, Cheryl has been hard at work on the show.  “It is truly a labor of love”, she says.  This year’s upbeat and fun show, “ROCK THE HOUSE”, will take you on a rock-n-roll journey that will leave you tapping your toes and singing the songs long after the final curtain.  Please join us in January as we “ROCK THE HOUSE” to benefit Winchester Hospital.

All profits from “ROCK THE HOUSE” help to support Winchester Hospital and their ongoing dedication to health and community.  The cast of talented performers includes staff members from Winchester Hospital, performers from local community theater groups, local professional entertainers, and a core of enthusiastic supporters of Winchester Hospital who will spend all of January preparing for this fundraiser.

“ROCK THE HOUSE” show dates are January 28 - February 1, 2014 at the Winchester Town Hall Auditorium on 71 Mt. Vernon St.  Auditions will be held December 2 & 3, 2013 at 7 PM at Winchester Town Hall Auditorium.

After spending a career in the high-tech industry, Cheryl’s focus shifted to bringing up her family and becoming involved in the Winchester community and her children’s activities.   In the Winchester Public School system, she has held several PTO board positions at all levels.  Cheryl co-chaired the Ambrose School Playground Project, which produced the new school playground funded by private donations.

An avid tennis player, Cheryl enjoys membership in the Winchester Tennis Association (WTA), which this past year she co-chaired the “Brick in the Wall” fundraising committee.  Her committee was able to donate the new hitting wall at the tennis courts to the Town of Winchester. She is also a current member and former Tennis Chairperson for the Winchester Swim and Tennis Club, as well as, a past President of the Winchester Newcomers Club. Cheryl enjoys living in Winchester  with her family and continues to support the community and all of its’ endeavors.
